Why do people desire their own continued oppression under neoliberalism? This essay seeks an answer to this confounding question through analysis of the Amway organization, American multi-level-marketing (MLM) company that rose a multi-billion dollar value in 1980s and 90s. My argument is serves as prime case study for relation between neoliberalism religious practices––people part because bears meaning at level culture religion. What sets apart from other MLMs, makes practices, its amalgamation neoliberal ideology with ideas trends evangelicalism, extent it kind tradition. As demonstrates, may defend similar fervor defending cultural or traditions. The conclusion explores possibility decolonial which would seek options broadening horizons evangelicalism beyond relationship critical theology robust enough thoughtfully critique neoliberalism.
